At least once a year, we hold what is known as the ‘Basics’ seminar, where we not only discuss many aspects of wine in theory, but also experience them (or ‘taste them’) through specific examples.
Once again, it was a particularly engaging group, showing great interest and asking plenty of questions on the subject – and that’s exactly how it should be.
However, there are two things the host definitely needs to work on:
1) Photos should be taken before some of the participants have already left the gathering
2) The caramel for the Tarte Tatin shouldn’t be allowed to get too dark.
I promise to do better next time and am looking forward to the next session!
