What a lovely evening with you!
A mild summer evening on our terrace and in addition
a) many lovely guests
b) great wines
c) a few food accompaniments
After a Blanc de Blancs from Champagne, we had Chardonnays from Chablis, Saint-Aubin, South Tyrol, Kaiserstuhl and California. These were accompanied by garlic prawns, ravioli filled with porcini mushrooms and a yellow curry with chicken and mango. Wonderful matches in my opinion. The discovery of the evening for me was the "Chardonnay Spätlese Reserve 2012" from the Reinhold and Cornelia Schneider winery - wow, what a wonderful wine!
The Cabernet Sauvignons came from Tuscany, Setúbal/Portugal, California (Mondavi) and of course from the left bank of Bordeaux. Accompanied with Albondigas and a mature Comté.
